Grunge was a nice diversion for a short while but it never had legs for me. Never listen to Nirvana for example now.

Whereas punk has endured for me albeit just a few English bands like The damned. Pistols etc. the rest of the stuff like sham 69 , cockney rejects was vile and was never punk.
