Should've added that they bootlegged their own shows, and sold them on the spot, right after the show in the lobby. 
You prepaid it at-venue before the band took the stage, got (I think) a wristband as proof-of-purchase and then got your own live-'bootleg' a few minutes after the show in the looby. 
A great idea and have not once heard of a reason not to. I think you'd have to be SkTjUoPkIeD! not to do so at every tour stop.

I like what Pearl Jam do - 'bootleg' and sell (cheaply) their own shows,
feed taken from the sound desk. 

Would have been nice if more bands had gotten on board their mission to
boycott Ticketmaster too.

Great live bootleg website has bitten the dust:

They had a number of good Killing Joke shows available for streaming among
other bands.  It was the only place I could easily find the '03 Astoria
show.
