it's spam - seen similar recently.
"Oh me, oh my - something baaaaad has happened. I have been robbed & cannot pay my bill… Help me friend…"
Sadly people fall for it & the damage it does to people is often forgotten.
A dear friend of mine - a very lonely 40-something was all upbeat about a girlfriend we would 'all meet soon'I can't really put into words how much he has always wanted to meet someone, but for instance, he refused to celebrate his 40th because he couldn't bear to be the only one without a partner.Anyway, he paid over £3k (money he didn't have) for her 'airfare & visa' from Russia…Needless to say she never arrived.I saw the pics, she was a gorgeous barely 18 year old blonde model holding up a white sign with an obviously photoshopped "I love you Forename Lastname. We will be together soon"Looking in it's obvious, but people see what they want to see & sadly he fell for it hook, line & sinker & was totally crushed.Worrying for all who know him as he miraculously survived a previous suicide attempt (leaped over 100ft from a bridge) over a failed relationship. So, he's in debt, is still lonely & has no reason to trust anyone again.
It's true when they say love's blind, even though 'stupid' would be more accurate...
