I remember being 10 and thinking Sparks great, guess it has dated somewhat,
but think back to 1974 and what else was “in the charts”. 
Sparks, were better than a lot of the dross that was about then. They are
also another highly  influential band.

I think it’s a joke. Pop rock mash-up with Abba lyrics, video fronted by a
bloke but the lead vocals are clearly female.

Second opinion--this song is so bad it's scary bad, not even funny. It's
like a bad mockery of a 70s rock opera (it actually reminds me of one of
those songs but I don't know the name)
that is even worse than the original, which was so bad it didn't need to be
mocked.

Fucks sake I’m finding this confusing and amusing all at once, ventured into
my daily 25+ gathering emails (popcorn at the ready), so to the tune of some
god-awful German Abba on crack 80s anthem I have to wade through a
kaleidoscope of multi-coloured emails, pictures of little girls on
alligators, and I’m STILL FUCKING GETTING SPAMMED BY MARTIN ATKINS.
 
Truly I fear that we’re immanentizing the eschaton.

Not sure I follow. I was just asking her cuz I had the impression she
speaks, like, a brazillian languages.
(btw, I only know Sparks to be an L.A. band)
