[kj] (OT)PiL Announce North American Tour Fall 2012: Minneapolis Venue caveat

Of interest only to a very few people on this list but the Mpls venue ("Mill City Nights") is the recently rebranded and AEG-owned former "Brick" nightclub, a venue so misbegotten that it had to be renamed four months after opening due to a series of disastrous initial shows. Capacity has been reduced from 2000 to 1200 after someone with a little common sense realized that putting 500 people in the basement with no view whatsoever of the stage was not a sound business model, even with 6 "giant" video screens that were really old CRT TVs leftover from when the club was a no-alcohol Christian performance space.
 
Despite a recent remodel, I'm told the sightlines are still atrocious with an adequate view of the stage for maybe 600 people tops, including from the balcony.
 
I doubt the show will be a heavy seller, but Thomas Dolby sold out the Cedar and Howard Jones packed the Varsity at $30 a ticket, so you never really know, do you?
