Very surprised how good this reunion album with David Lee Roth has turned out.  

Van Halen should have called the record "Redemption" because that's what it is not just for Dave who finally has proved beyond doubt
he has and always will be THE MAN to front this band (despite his limited vox), but especially for Eddie who's spent a decade and a
half pretty much pissing his life away.  Although 2/3rds of the songs are culled from or almost straight re-recordings of unreleased
demos left over from before they released their first album way back in '78, very little sounds dated or out of place on this album.


This is quickly turning out to be a great year for some of my favorite long-time bands coming out with new stuff.
