The identity of the people isnt being questioned, the question is whether it was a drunken rant by Jaz or whether is was a deliberate ploy by Jaz to get the tour cancelled

A better example and question would be, if a worker asks a co-worker to tell their boss, "Attention, dear jerk....you suck, blow and spin" and the 1st worker shows an employee ID  badge and reconfirms his statement and desire for it to be forward to their boss.. the better question would be, can you blame employee #2 for having done so (forwarded #1's statement)? The answer  would be no.

So, if you go out with a friend to a bar and have a few drinks , everyone gets a bit carried away and he starts ranting about his job, how he hates his boss and he leans over and slurs, "Tommorow , go and tell my boss that hes a twat and tell him that I resign from my job"
Would you get on the phone the next day and relay the message to the Boss?

Jaz fuckin' blew it, and took a fan down with him, plain and simple. He needs to make it up to him and by extension the fanBase for jerking them around.

Basically, Cormac is (was?) a fan willing and eager to meet the band and share of that meeting whatever news and comments the exalted et illustrious Knight Le Chevalier cared to air. But the great wandering Knight Jaz Le Chevalier de la Sahaire instead stood back from, denied and thereby discredited and smeared the eager fan le peasant Cormac by singling out Cormac's faceBook/posting as made-up bullshit that Jaz never said. "Jeez, what kind of a fan would do such a thing," others not in-the-Know may ask of Cormac, because le grande Chevalier freaked out at it all. 
Any righteous Knight would have sworn the poor naif to secrecy and then have asked him to accompany him on his great peregrinage to fight the godless savages the Paynim Touareg and alAqeadinIslamic Maghrib tribes beyond The Great Sands. Or maybe offer him free tickets and lodging at the next KJ Festival appearance.

That is quite an exaggeration, Cormac hasnt been left to die . 
Maybe in future he should wait for KJ to make an official statement, rather than trying to speak on their behalf . 
Jaz has been left to pick up the pieces which were the result of Cormacs posts . 
Cormac should accept some of the blame for the whole fiasco , even so, Jaz didnt make any accusations or name anyone.

Again, that's exactly how I feel. 
I couldn't care less about the 'chaos surrounds us get on with it' thing - we all know the unpredictability of the beast. 
It's the ridiculous cover up & such painfully embarrassing lies. 
Jaz being dressed as a woman & shoved on the lifeboat while pushing Cormac overboard to distract the sharks has left a very sour taste
