[kj] OT: torrents for dummies

The latest in the torrent saga:

I just downloaded and installed Tixati software because I never could tell
if uTorrent was working, and I've downloaded a torrent file with the
.torrent extension. I see data is in the download folder on the computer
desktop, but according to the system tray, the file is still downloading.

Here's where I'm really confused:

Tixati v1.74
1 Downloading
0 Seeding
0.00 KB/s IN of 200 KB/s Limit
0.00 KBs OUT

Well, I'm not trying to upload anything so I get the 0.00 KB/s OUT part, but
if the file is downloading, shouldn't there be some KB/s coming IN? And if
this is supposed to be normal, how do I know when downloading is complete?

I have allowed the program to work through the firewall, but it's giving me
this message now"

UPNP router UDP port forwarding: no routers responded, will retry every five
minutes

and that was 30 minutes ago. As far as I can tell, it hasn't re-tried.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

Alternatively, if someone would like to look at this file I'm trying to
download and let me know if it's somehow corrupted and that's why this won't
work, I'd appreciate it. Here's the link:

Thanks (again)!!
