[kj] OT: Recording software

Gatherers,

I'm looking into different kinds of recording software and I'm not sure what to 
get.  What do the rest of you guys use and why?

I would only use Ableton for live performance, using 'raw cuts'. Not practical 
for recording, as my sound sources come from numerous places...
Not a fan of Cakewalk, though. My mixdowns are still analog.

I must admit I have never really got along with that program, I guess I am a 
Cakewalk/Sonar type of guy

Ben Calvert appears to be off the summer shows entirely. KJ have a show the day 
after tomorrow - does anyone know if this is actually going to happen? I know 
some here would like to believe that this indicates the return of BPF, but I 
suspect the good people of Warsaw are going to end up with Spike T Smith, if 
they get KJ at all.
