That's what I thought... which makes it sound like access to weaponry isn't of itself the problem.

As Goldie Looking Chain said - Guns don't kill people, rappers do.

Very little of that bravado about being 'the defender of my rights and my family'... We have elections and police to look after that. And guess what? It largely works.

How do you explain Canada? Similar levels of gun ownership to the US, but a murder rate that compares to the UK's.

Yeah! The voice of truth and justice makes quite a point of that.
The need for the bogeyman in the US psyche? So they made one of Mike Moore!

Back in 1987 a shotgun/AK47 owner Michael Ryan got the use of full-auto weapons above .22 banned, thank ****. Then in 1995 a looney paid a visit to Dunblaine junior school I think it was, with four pistols, two of them revolvers, and a camera bag with 500 rounds in it. Killed how many kids and the odd teacher?

500 rounds he never got to use. What was he going to do? Nip down the shops after he'd done the entire school? Welcome to the wonderful world of the constitutional right to bear arms. I think in both cases they were legally empowered to own weapons, one in the UK in Hungerford and one in Scotland. I went to a gun club myself back in 1993. My landlord at the time co-owned it. He got his rent paid I tell you...

Oh what jolly fun it was, with those .38's and a .45 Colt. Boom boom! just a harmless hobby.

You cannot have a civilian population with access to firearms like our planet has. Sooner or later this happens. Anyone care to validate that urban myth between old soldiers that all you ever heard about on base was people accidentally getting shot/killed just because there were all these rifles around? Mate who was in the Israeli and another in the Greek confirmed this on two seperate occasions.

When I found all the old toy guns my bro and I had as children when clearing out the parents loft - straight in the bin. No charity shops or younger generation was getting them...

Tea party? Wait till the zombies appear? Then I'll be made a complete ****** of, writing all of this...

Not to take sides on this, but there is a valid concern of armed hostilities re:Tea Party, seeing as how they are willing to assemble (and/or support those who are) with machine guns shouldered and intimidate en masse by the thousands, whether it be a local venue, a local commons or in front of the White House itself.

Also valid concerns when the tea partiers Senate Siren Michele Bachmann is calling for all to be armed and dangerous.

Not to bother you but, if you've already downloaded it, would you mind posting it up as an Attachment please? I'm a bit leery downloading any files from him. Besides, my 'puter got shut down by a virus 3 weeks back. Ca understand if you can't though.
