Very sad. And don't even get me started on priorities in my country .

The sad thing is that if X-Factor (American Idol) was axed from our TV
screens there probably WOULD be riots. People care more about the current
Take That line-up than they do about NHS cutbacks.

<<< People need to riot.>>>

People in the UK are either too apathetic, tired and overworked, or plain
stupid to riot. Only students have the time and energy to riot these days!

I say "plain stupid" because a lot of dumb people don't care about the state
of shit. On the news recently, people in the street were asked their
opinions on the recent VAT increase (to a grossly unjust 20%), one girl
said: "It won't bother me because my dad buys everything".

Couldn't agree more with what Janean said,

I empathise with your anger totally and to leave your father sat there from
1pm til 6.30 defy's belief

There'd be outrage if it were livestock.

And add to that no one had even called you in the first place.

You have every right to be bitter & angry.

Jesus, what a nightmare. Your poor dad. You've every right to a bitter

Public cuts/spending is all arse-over-tit and politicians like it that way.
Cut hospital beds, teachers and lollipop ladies; leave all those bloated
managers, directors and chief execs alone.

Thanks for all the mails of sympathy.

In off the reord chats with staff they tell me that the pressures on the
helath service and to free up space is even greater with the cuts. So if I
hear another politician use the phrase "We're all in this together", when
certain sections of commerce are earnig huge profits again, I'll explode.

Do I sound bitter...yes, good.

Rant over

Brian.
