IIRC (in case you're familiar with the area), I think he lived near La Puente,
about 15 minutes east of downtown L.A.

Dear Raven, what a trully nice guy!!! I never got the chance to met him in
person, but after he realized i lived from Mexico City, he was so humble and
such a nice guy to send me some e-mails asking me for places to vacation
(beaches) and venues to play in Mexico City. As far as i know he lived in a
latin neighborhood in LA, or at least he shared some time with some mexicans and
latinos there- so he used to write from time to time asking me the ingredients
and flavour of some typical mexican food, he also used to asked if it was some
chile involved in the recipe -if it was too hot or not- of course he used to
choose hot chile!!!... He always used a mix of spanish and english words in his
mails, he even used to called "Compadre" (it´s a very cheerful and loving
mexican way to say "mate" / "good friend")... I mean, these are pretty small
details, but all these little things just showed me (and show us) what a humble
and great-hearted man he was. After all, when would i think i would be mailing
with Raven and talking some "spanglish" with him!!!! I already had the chance to
met the other KJ guys in NY, and it was pretty cool (Youth and Big Paul were the
nicer ones to me), but even only by e-mail, Raven was such a warmer person than
the rest of them.
Of course I keep his mails, it was so exciting to receive a personal e-mail from
him.

Absolute respect to my compadre Raven!!!

Javier
MexicoCity
