[kj] Scott Shite (OT)

Big Country sound like I could really like them if I gave a fair chance and
listened beyond their radio hits (which I've always liked anyway).

Out of musical curiousity I'd go see them if they played here in L.A. (i mean,
shit, OMD are back and am prolly gonna see them), and i'm guessing I'd leave
surprised as all hell by a great show like when I went to see Psychedelic Furs
in Orange County: they kicked ass and rocked out beyond all expectations.

Besides, I love the sound of bagpipes cranked out by guitars.

Anyway..

I have nothing against Big Country, but I did see them once and I barely
remember the show--nothing wrong w/it, just not very exciting. I also remember
owning their 2nd album, I think,
Steeltown, and remember it being very very close to unlistenable
(sophomore slump?). That being said, I would think about seeing them if they
play the US (just for kicks--how often do you

get to hear guitars that sound like babpipes)??
