That's it. They just don't have the fire that they used to in the 80s. It's what
happens when you get older. Happens to every band eventually. 

There's also the thing that some songs just don't work when played live. When I
saw them a few months ago, I actually thought ESS sounded pretty okay. The song
that really stuck out as one they should lose was Ghosts of Ladbroke Grove.
Fantastic song, does not work live. It's a studio track for sure. So
sure, laziness is a major factor. But there's also the consideration of the
setlist. What feels good, what flows nicely, what gets people pumped up, what
puts people asleep, etc etc.
