[kj] to play them live or not to play them live

I was thinking about Raven King, EES etc earlier & how quickly they were dropped from the set.
is it just me or does anyone else find it odd that a band of such caliber struggle to replicate so many of their songs live & ultimately drop them?
It's not as if these tracks are overdubbed to hell in the studio & 'undoable' live.
I would also wager that's why we keep hearing the same set over & over...
