[kj] OT -- 9%... 10%... -- correction

Been following Egypt too cuz I have an uncle from there and a cousin who's
half-Egyptian, and this is what I've noticed in the news..

Youth of Egypt under 30 = 70%
unemployment among those youts = 90%
Grand total of 63% unemployment among the most vital 70% of their population.

I thought i heard Obama say "we support" the rights of the protesters to protest
for their freedom,
and that "we support" their right to a free press. Except for that Assange
fellow we're about to snatch from Sweden a.s.a.p., smuggle him out of the
country, and send him for 'enhanced interrogation' to - wait for it -Egypt! our
long-standing partner in such things.

And a little-known fact about those Egyptians, goddamn kommunists the lot of
them from early on! For those high-up who don't read history and therefore fall
for it again (Mubarak), the first recorded (labor) strike in all of human
history was in Egypt - and led by the middle class . Bless 'em. Put us all to
shame.

Funny, I've been following Egypt, and the keep talking about all the
unemployment there, and horrible conditions for the middle and working class.
They've shown interviews
w/college educated professionals who've been out of work for years...You know
what the unemployment rate is there?? TEN PERCENT!! And if they meanure it
honestly, it's probably less
that that of the US which is really around 20% if you take into account the
stuff Brendan talked about). Admitedly things are worse there in tems of
wages, gov oppression, etc., but this all
shows that different countries are more alike than different.
Another similarity: CNN's head foreign correspondant just said that police
In Egypt randomly commit acts of violence against people, arrest them at will,
don't tell family members of people imprisoned, and of
corse that the army has not for the most part not attacked the protesters or
shot at their own people. Hmm, sounds like the way dark skinned people and
immigrants are treated in a country I know...

So here it is again from the horses' mouths.  At the highest level they are
saying now that unemployment won't come down to a near(-but-still-high)-normal
5% for another 10 years, with 6 years being the Optimists' view. And that's with
Corporate America sitting on a liquid $2Trillion in cash = 50 million people
working for a year. They'd rather buy back their own stock (to keep the gains
and dividends in-house) than to put a commoner to work.
9% Unemployment Just Fine http://www.cnbc.com/id/41517149
And,
http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_exclusive/20110209/pl_yblog_exclusive/why-is-the-jobless-rate-staying-so-high-and-what-can-be-done-about-it

10% of the land is The Hand
that pulls the strings...
to have, to own, to hold:
money, property, assets - before lives

Green gestures..an endless debate
Why? Just to justify,
             jus-ti-justify..this 'Utopia':
                                                 "Money is our business
                                                   Cash is our business
                                                    These derivatives is our
business
                                                     Lies! are our business
                                                      Business is our
Business!!"
