They just released a double cd 25th anniversary of their first album(in
october) which is worth picking up.Their was talk of a renunion etc. They
released another album in 1989 which only had one good track on and only one
remaining German.
Claudia Brucken the singer released a solo album in 1990 which was worthj
picking up and the other girl in the band was shagging (ian astbury?) from
the cult-according to raven.
claudia brucken then married one of omd and released a couple of shit
albums.
The original release was great and pick up the anniversary edition if you
can.

I remember them as they were immensely popular in Europe. No offense, but
the comparison with old or new Skinny Puppy is very daring ;)

Indulge me for a wee bit here, gentlepeoples, but I found a song on Youtube
I'd never heard before and was wondering if anyone here knewe (aka heard of)
the band or had seen them live. Sounds like old Skinny Puppy with B-Movie, +
mild splash of late 70s disco. Also kind of reminds me of
Wolfsheim a bit.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jspBeVa0sTs

There's also a electronica-classical
version that's maybe even better, but I can't choose,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fEDeyWQqoE

Both versions blew me away. Kinda pissed I'd never heard of them earlier.

Hope y'all like.

You funny fuckers!
Well, they're finally releasing it then!I didn't know when and I'm in the
band!
In fairness I must say that Umair at blindsight is a top chap.
Go and buy it. Note the buy bit. You can get it for nothing but you wouldn't
do that to a Gatherer would you?
Oh. You would. Ah well.....

Propaganda were a german synth band from the 80s, had some limited
chart success in the UK, I remember my older brother had one of their
albums and they were on Trevor Horns ZTT label along with Frankie Goes
To Hollywood and god knows who else.

The original bassist from Simple Minds joined them at one stage
(Derek Forbes), as did I believe the original SImple Minds drummer
(Brian McGee) for live touring.

Sophie Ellis Bextor in recent years did a cover version as a B Side of
one of their Singles called "Duel"

I'm so sorry. I must have it entirely wrong.

I actually haven't a clue what you're on about.
