Whilst I agree with everything else you're saying here Dave I am going to have to pull you up on your marge love, nothing beats fresh melting butter on a hot crumpet; marge just can't compare

I can't believe anyone still listens to what Lydon has to say about
anything. While he used to have something interesting to say in his earlier
years, the "Dame Lydon" persona rears its ugly head almost every time now,
and he talks total and utter pish! Some of the unbelievable bullshit he was
coming out with at recent-ish Pistols gigs made me long for Sid's incisive
wisdom!! He is officially Out Of Touch, but still insists on spouting his
rrrrubbish.
The "butter ads funding PiL tour" is but one example of the nonsense he
comes out with. The ticket prices were unbelievably high on the first tour
cos Lydon and/or his management demanded so much from the promoters.
Promoters then priced tickets in accordance with what they were paying out.
The rest is bollocks! Butter can fuck off, margarine rules!

And in answer to the US/UK punk thing... here it is... it was both!
