little. Heavy rains and winds, but nothing too consequential. Some tree
branches down here and there. Long Island and many of the other boroughs
lost power, though, and experienced some flooding. My sister in Westchester
has 16 inches of water in her basement.

 

Could have been worse, though.

The biggest commotion I've seen so far was when I went to the grocery store
to pick up provisions...  The place was swarming!  I'm going to a big party
on Sunday (storm day).  They say they are going to have enough beer kegs
there so that each person at the party will be able to use an empty keg as a
flotation device if necessary..
