There are 2 Summers/ Fripp albums - 'I advance masked' and 'Bewitched'..reasonable bar a couple of dodgy tracks on each..They could get a bit 'effected' for some.
The Sylvian Fripp album is much better than the Summers collab.
Red Guitar was Sylvian on his own and belongs to his more 'trad' sounding albums..his recent releases are more 'ambient/spoken word/field recording' affairs..which I am appreciating :)

Just get all the Japan albums though :)

The Sylvian-Fripp album was very good. Most of it didn't actually sound like Robert Fripp playing guitars, although there are lengthy Frippertronic passages. The best track was 'Endgame', a mellow, singer-songwriter-style tune that was stuck as a B-side- criminal waste of a great song.

Aaaah. Now I kinda got into trouble with that Red Guitars business. Yeah, did not work for me. Was that off Rain Tree Crow?

Did anyone hear the album David Sylvian did with Robert Fripp?

Oh deary me... Debate! Fripp did one with Andy Summers too, called Witchcraft I think? What happened there? I am clearly not an appreciator of Fripps work. My loss.

Paul.
