I always needed Adolescent Sex. I guess the album would have helped to pass the time without it.

Gary Numan recounts in his autobiography how he somehow ended up in Tokyo, a guest of the band Japan. They were going to get him back home, I forget the arrangement.

So they go see some show. Japan en mass ran out the firedoors - into Japan - and left him stranded in the city alone, without the cash to get back, in his early 20's and now we realize, Aspergers.

So Gary went off to see Queen, who were performing in town that night. Getting into the dressing room, why, Freddie himself took Gary under his wing and got him home on the plane later on. Simple as that. Gary praises his generosity.

I wonder however, what may have actually gone on in that sweaty backstage area to warrant a ticket home? Surely not turning Freddie Japanese???

Definetly no need to worry there , Japan were the first live band i ever see , way back in 1982 :)
I still consider them to have been an awesome band.

No. They're really good albums, but you need Adolescent Sex in there, too :)

I just went balmy and bought Gentlemen take polaroids and Tin Drum for next to nothing, second hand.

Should I be worried I'm losing it, with this sudden preoccupation about Japan?

Paul.
