On a much different note: Anyone heard the brand new Meat Puppets album? It's quite good. Also the newest album from Minuteman/Firehose/Porno for Pyros/
Iggy and the Stooges (for the past 8 years)/Kelly Clarkson (yes, for 1/2 an album) bassist Mike Watt is great. He and his band stayed at my house a couple of weeks ago on his 55 shows in 56 days
tour (playing a 30 piece each night) and was a true gentleman. He's 53, about the same age as the Joke, and can do this, while they seem to struggle to do a dozen or so shows at a time...

Yep, he's coming here to Austin bout a month before Killing Joke. But I just like one sonog of his, "On a Wicked Night," versus 14+ years of tter shite, to pay to see him.
Glenn Danzig from 1977 - 1983 actually deserves to be up there with Lux Interior and other rock n' roll deities of that era.I am serious. No one was doing what he was doing then, except maybe Roky Erickson and the Aiens, and The Cramps. And the Elvis/Sun Records style of delivery he had absolutely mastered, while doing this, is some sort of genus -- to this day unrecognized for some reason. But by 1994 Danzig just really sold out in the worst way.
