[kj] How About Martin Atkins?

My thoughts entirely, in fact as soon as he was mentioned I imagined good old twin drummer attack a la Murder Inc!! Not to forget the Glitter Band & the legendary Fall (twice) of course. Mercenery?  I did not think they were that way at all in 1991, quite the reverse in fact, fairly underground which was why it was so amazing.

Silver has gone up 420% in 5 years. Dollars are worth considerably less,
and falling drastically quickly, in my opinion about to fall off a cliff.
Commodity price inflation is outpacing wage inflation. Funny how there's a
term 'goldbug' but not 'dollar bug'...

I've found a lot of the best analysis of markets comes from goldbugs
(having spent several hundred hours looking into it and one or two dozen
hours a week ongoing). I share their bearish view of fiat currency, the
Fed, Govt, corporatocracy, sharemarkets.

Alex Jones lets himself down by talking too much shit, but I would never
lump him in with a turd like Glenn Beck. He makes a lot of valid points.
If you'd listened to him and invested in gold, you'd have done very well
so far...(evern better with silver). Keep your money in cash and you'd
have fallen a lot further than most ppl realise (because most people
belive the Fed's nonsense about 2% inflation)

Every fiat currency in history has gone to 0. Gold has been accepted as a
store and value, and medium of exchange, and held its value for thousands
of years. Unlike currencies and stocks, it can never go to zero. there is
a finite supply, and one day it'll be gone. There's no limit to the
ability of computers to create money by adding zeros...

Obama is a really bad joke, the sooner you guys ditch him the better. it's
not like he inherited anything other than a shit deal from Bush, but he's
just as bad. 1.5 TRILLION dollar deficit, 14 trillion dollars debt, QE I,
QEII, mark to market abandoned, markets not re-regualted, too big to fail
banks now even bigger, no ones head rolled for the GFC, and the Fed in
conjunction with the Govt is the biggest Ponzi scheme ever.

The US is basically bankrupt, hence printing money hand over fist to
monetize debt. Retirees must be pretty stoked to be getting .5% interest
rates on the nest eggs they've worked and saved their entire lives to
build up, nice one Bernanke. But hey, old, non-productive people, who
gives a shit about them! They don't buy iPads.

I hope it's not Atkins because there's a danger they'll become too mercenary
again. You know, start charging just to come backstage; make you pay twice
for gigs - once for the ticket and again for the tracks you actually want to
hear. Or releasing rip-off "deluxe" versions of albums. That sort of thing
we could well do without.

They've put up a song that will be on their new album that comes out in late
August.  It's called "End To The Lies" and is basically
Perry Farrell ranting about his former bandmate, bassist Eric Avery who
co-wrote much of the classic songs.  Pretty childish lyrics
and the song's kind of mediocre but an interesting, almost industrial
direction for the band:

Paul is really a libertarian, but just going under a republican  banner-
I'd really label him more a 'progressive' (one of the few) - He  and Kucinich
(as in candidates)  are the only ones who arent  corporate sell out boys.
I actually redid my voting status (as many others did)  so I  could vote
for Paul- He's probably our only hope. Everyone in the   'in the know scene'
here all holds Paul in the highest degree. This is the  first i'm hearing
(outside of just mainstream head scratchers)  that anyone thinks Paul is a
'loon'.
Like you said-once you really give him some time and see  what he's about,
it makes sense- not saying one is going to agree  with all his points.
I've met him, spoke with him on some matters and have it  planned at some
point to do an article with him on the Federal Reserve.

I'm doing a story now on how the Food safety modernization act
(implemented under the Obama era) basically puts the FDA in a position to  shut down
all small farms and organics if it wanted to. The feds can now  go and shut a
farm down, just with a suspicion, not even with any actual  proof- the farm
then has to pay with its own money (which would cripple  them to close down)
to defend itself against biased fda law judges-
so we wanted "Change", we got it.

It's Ron Paul who sets up a special lobbying day and reception  for us to
go into senate (about a month ago) and speak out about  this bill  to our
representatives. The year before, he came  down to the after reception and
showed support -- He  was fresh off the floor given a now famous speech about
this war  being such bullshit and the whole WMD thing (as you mentioned)-

He's actually pretty punk.

Someone I know and have come to respect over many long  conversations
mentioned a speech by Ron Paul that he felt was spot  on.  I was so surprised
that I had to check he was talking about  the Republican senator.  Anyway,
seeing my disbelief, he sent me a  link, and I watched the speech.  Remarkably,
the man was talking a  lot of sense.  I didn't agree with some of his
conclusions - and I  was also aware that there were areas where I just didn't know
enough to  agree or disagree.  But he certainly wasn't the loon that I'd
always assumed him to be.  (I was particularly surprised to hear  him say
that the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction thing was a  lie.)

The moral of this story - for me - is that whether someone is left  wing or
right wing [or other categories] does not necessarily dictate  the validity
of their discourse.

In fairness Jaz has been on about this for decades.

they've been ctagging our DNA for a few years now...

Q: Is Jaz saying anything we're not aware of, or just reiterating what's
already being shouted at street level..?
Most informed people now accept that we live under a Corporate
oligarchy...it might make a difference if he could shout a few alternatives,
instead of perpetuating what is staring us in the face..

he's been talking like this the last 3 albums- this is nothing new.

and I don't view these quotes as 'right wing'  -

and don't worry when the rfid chips happen, it will seem like a keen, cool
idea.

Wow. Now I understand the "right wing Peter Gabriel" part:

Jaz: There is no more gold. The money isn't redeemable by gold or silver and
we all know it. We've got a much bigger problem here which I've spoken about
before. Basically we're gonna have RFID chips, and everything will be on
them, so if you want food from a supermarket you'll just swipe your hand
because they'll be implanted inside you, and this is the vision some people
in the Anglo-American establishment have for the future.

It's like Jaz Coleman has been watching a lot of Glenn Beck and Alex
Jones....  He's also ranting against unions in the interview. :/
