I don’t know how many of you have seen this but I work in Birmingham City Centre and since 4ish yesterday a bloke has been standing on the railings of a city centre bridge threatening to jump. For two nights and one morning it has been traffic chaos as they have had to close a key roads, which personally doesn’t bother me too much although yesterday I had two mile walk to get my detoured bus – good exercise. He is still there at the moment entering his second night.

My point is how crap must the police negotiators be who have failed for nearly over 30 hours?! I bet he is a fellow Council worker! Would it not be easier now to put loads of bouncy castles underneath and wait until he nods off.
