That's not Auto-Tune; that's an abuse of the technology for effect.
 
Cher, Flo-Rida, T-Pain et. al. employ Auto-Tune essentially set at 100%, resulting in the robotic runs we now associate as "Auto-Tune"
 
In reality and when used correctly, Auto Tune is a remarkably subtle tool for pitch-correction on both recordings and live performances.

Yeah, Folk.  I can't recognise it either.  Which songs do you hear it on?  When I think of auto tune, I think of Cher...
