[kj] Democracy

I always loved Democracy since the day it was released.
This past weekend I played it while slouching for hours on the couch, at top
volume, and I couldn't grasp why so many here seem to dislike it. It has all
the essential stuff we want in a any KJ release, it has awesome riffs, it
has some pretty effective tribal drumming (perhaps the last KJ album to
sport it), the lyrics are almost spot on and I even like it's mix.
I get that many might've been put off by the acoustic guitar, but me, I like
it quite a lot... I guess we have to be permissive with artists trying new
stuff, we are not forced to like it, but at least respect it.
There are some excellent songs in there, Aeon, Savage Freedom, Pilgrimage,
Medicine Wheel... and I love Lanterns too. And even Another Bloody Election
ain't that bad... it's far better than, say, Dregs. :P
I guess, for reasons other than just the music, Democracy is the KJ album
that marked me the most, for the moment I was going through in life when it
was released and a bunch of crap like that... I really love it, rate it
among their best and, as Marc said, I like it better and better the older I
get.
