John Foxx is in it. Can you see the bloke with the anti aircraft gun?

Spot on there. Reproduction and Travelogue. They had no drum machines, only a Roland sequencer. Amazing. Perfect, and gone. Oh yes, Mr Webb indeed.
My Leatherette is lovely and Warm you know. What else are you into like that?

Oh Folk Devil! Mate! Where do you think I saw Louis and John performing From Trash material? THE WOOLSACK!
The circle completes. Yes indeed, From Trash, Impossible, A Million Cars...yep, I got the album too. Ah, what can I say? Too many obvious preset voices being used, not enough innovative synths and unique forms like the first two sacred solo works. Poor John. Songs like Friendly Fire grew on me, but he just didn't get there. I am one of those 'hard core' Foxx fans who lives in this Metamatic world of it's own, 30 years in the past, obsessed with the album. I have seriously spent 30 years trying to get over it and ended up admitting defeat. There are a few people on the Metamatic Forum said the same to me when I joined.
Some folk have Firedancers, some Brighter than a thousand suns and some have OUTSIDE THE GATE. That special album...
Mind you, young Louis is very good live. I really respect him. Thanks anyway. :)

Paul, I really recommend that you check out John Foxx & Louis Gordon - Impossible. There's even a couple of early Ultravox revamps on it :)

I have to level with you all. Although I have based all my (attempts at) music on his Metamatic album, John never did get back to it's glory, or that of The Garden the subsequent album. Got into Ultravox only the past few years. Brilliant. Foxx is actually a great writer and visual artist. He gave an hours Q and A in the ICA 3 years ago, and showed himself to be very erudite n' well read. But the music he's been making...aah. Not what it was sadly. A very cool man to meet. Very modest. 2 grown boys now. Tiny Colour Movies are worth seeing live.

Gary (I crash planes, on a weekly basis) Numan is playing here soon. I shall be going. Not that I ever got into anyting post Tubeway Army, and the guys politics are dodgy to say the least. I am sure he will play a few of my faves..
I saw the Back to the Phuture do advertised in Fact Magazine, and was gutted not to be able to go..
