[kj] [OT] The The live at Roskilde 2000

Unlike with many other bands/artists, I pretty much stuck with The The &
endlessly played Mind Bomb/Dusk. I also bought the later and darker Naked
Self album (1999) from which half of these songs originate ... earlier this
year, a soundtrack album (Tony) was also released ... with about 30 shorter
tracks, a departure from a conventional album but loses nothing of the
darkness and despair of these later recordings ... personally, I love it
(PS. and I'm not on commission) :o)

I never got around to checking out The The properly, but Armageddon Days and
Beaten Generation were/are fantastic songs.

Correct, there was a CDI version of Infected, and it's every bit as
good today as it was when it came out. Soul Mining was a fabulous
album as well. If i'm not mistaken, Jim Foetus produced Soul Mining
and Roli Mosimann (Swans, Young Gods) produced Infected.

The concert i uploaded was fucking amazing. He sent the band off stage
and played This Is The Day solo. Amazing atmosphere, and that version
of Armageddon Days is simply unbeatable. Matt Johnson is a superb
songwriter, truly unique. You can buddy him on fb if you wanna keep up
with him, his name there is Thethe Lazarus.
