Small world – I’ve known Danny for a long time. If you know Danny then you must know my friend David who always hangs with him. Both are great guys….I think there is a Halloween goth party going on at 3 Of Clubs on Vine on Tuesday. I’m sure I’ll drop by since that bar is right around the corner from where I live. Kevin Haskins will be there…..something to do on a Tuesday night I guess $3 is all to get in.

Your “buddy Danny DJ” wouldn’t happen to be former – little Mohawk Danny would it?

We would have loved to go but we don't like El Cid. We were there two months ago and hanging with Mark Burgess of The Chameleons while he DJ and the drinks are too watered down and pricey. My buddy Danny DJ that gig by the way.

Kevin Haskin's is the nicest guy and you should have said what's up to him. My wife and I saw him a couple times a couple years ago, once being at when Mick Jones's band Carbon/Silicon played at The Troubadour and the second at The Damned on Halloween at The House Blues.

Cheers,

Went and saw Hugh Cornwell last night at El Cid in L.A. last night. He had Clem Burke on drums and Fish on bass. Fucking great show! 2 sets – 2nd set was the Rattus Norvegicus album in it’s entirety. Great sound and the crowd was having a blast. Saw Billy Duffy walking around and I heard Kevin Haskins was there too. If anyone has the chance to see this lineup I would definitely suggest going. Hugh still has it. Standing in front watching Clem Burke play drums was a joy for me since I rate him high as far as rock drummers are concerned (check out his drumming in that Target Video “Iggy Pop Live in San Francisco”) and the bass player Fish killed it playing “Goodbye Toulouse” probably my favorite of the night. Since there’s no chance of a true Stranglers reunion – this show was the next best thing.
