It may not be the band's fault,[from the original post: "...an official
homepage for Killing Joke that never gives

me the information on time! And... they give out wrong information!"] but the
band should check it regularly

(and daily during a tour) and tell the webmaster of mistakes.

I only meant that while we all love the band, that we should have more, um,
"realistic" expectations more reflective of the band's actions, at least as
their past indicate.  I've been on here 12 years have seen the band disappear
for years at a time even after announcing so many times of
somethin'sumthin'something coming out "this spring/summer/etc." or, their most
'evil' letdown, "..next year."

I've seen real hopes - and airplane tickets and hotel bookings - completely
dashed by the bands actions/inactions that, though they may not always be at
fault per se', if the band checked their website regularly and posted the most
accurate and up-to-date info.. lots of fans could have avoided unnecessary
financial waste, along with wasted vacation time, jobplace standing, etc.

That's actually very great help and reminder. Thanks, I think everyone will keep
those tips in mind more now. I will.

Probably much more true than many people (me included) realize. Yet, still, if
the band addressed things as they happen, many fans could be spared financial
burden and great fan-existential torment. =)

Hm, I could use a girlfriend, yes.

No, no, no, absolute dissent!
It's someone elses job that's not been done with passion! Don't blame the band!
Lower my expectations?! No, no, no, maybe I need to set my goals even higher and
get involved!

To speak up to correct errors in the system is step no. 1.

Frustration means obstruction and I am being totally active!

I do know that there's is this saying: It seems impossible to truly love people
that hurt and dissapoint us....
yet..there are no other people! Is that what you are trying to say?

And then this one, for all the dissapointments concerning KJ tour cancelling or
even the bookshoppers amongst you, this is a phrase from the secretarial
course in did: The golden rule of keeping office diary is...plans are made to be
adjusted! Even personal things can come in between (x5+ in this KJcase!).

I like good intended advice and so here is some of mine...there's this
travel-insurance that even covers the costs of tickets. Don't know if it's all
covered, don't know the terms, but I will try and find out (and share) next time
I'm booking my hotel and tickets for the Killing Joke tour 2011 (let's start a
rumour!). Anyone on this board that does this kind of stuff for a business?
Please share your knowledge! And how about those credit cards insurances? If you
didn't get the goods you paid for, then address the person that's got your money
and claim your money back!
I have a feeling that that money didn't end up in one of the bandmembers
pockets. It's the circus around it all that seems to fuck it up!
So..isn't it so that when you paid it with a credit card, the goods are covered
(for loss) within a surten time? Has anyone tried this yet?
Please share your experiences!

I don't mean to be 'dishing' you, but are you sure you are 'without the constant
frustrations?' Your e-mail doesn't read that to me. Maybe mine doesn't to you! I
just like to say: patience is a virtue...And Jaz likes to sing it and: let it
all out, let it rise unto the surface!
Well I'm glad you are speaking up. That is what usually works for me too!

Greetings from Liz from Amsterdam

At some point, you have to have realized that the band doesn't much give a f at cK.
Not enough, anyway.
I don't say it sarcastically, but if we lower our expectations similar to the
band's, we won't find ourselves disappointed, and we'll get our info&knowledge
sooner, better, and without the constant frustrations.
Works for me, anyway.

How nice to have an official homepage for Killing Joke that never gives me the
information on time! And I totally hate it if they give out wrong information!
How long did it take for the Dublin concert to be mentioned? And now this..
wrong date mentioned!

I usually find out about CD/tour news by googling the net! Hardly ever do I get
the news from the Official Homepage.
And when I have news, I share it via the gathering! That's how I found out about
the Dublin concert.. Thanks for sharing fellow gatherers!

Can anyone please inform the administrator that the date mentioned on the
official website for the recording of the Killing Joke concert at Hammersmith
Apollo, London should read the 16 October and not the 22nd!

Thanks so much in advance,
(wonder how long it's gonna take to see it corrected, this is day 1)

Greetings from Liz from Amsterdam
