[kj] OT: December in Paris

It seems like me and the missus are going to Paris in December... she's been
there a couple of times, me, never... since she might be going for the
boutiques most of the day, I'll probably have some time on my own, so what
should a grumpy gatherer be on the lookout there? Any tips on bars, clubs,
record stores... anything will be helpful.

P.S.: Any gatherers will perchance find themselves "flaneuring" around Paris
by the end of the year?
