Sorry to hear it, Chris. I know it sucks, but try not to take it so
hard.

This is why I tend to shy away from after-party things. So many
people, so much expectation. In no way am I excusing what happened to
you, but it's so easy in these situations for something to fall
through the cracks. For the individuals at the center of the attention
(i.e. the band), everybody wants a piece of you and your time and your
good graces and it must be impossible to please and help everyone --
invariably someone goes home feeling hurt.

But, I'm sorry it didn't work out. I'm sure your friends understand.
We've all been there at one point or another.
