Fantastic!
Glad he made it!

Arrived at Euston about half 12 and realised my lad was looking decidedly ill..he threw up into a handy carrier bag whilst I bought underground tix (thanks to the undercover cop in the Arsenal shirt who made sure he was ok and arranged for said vomitary depositary to be collected)..he then threw up again between tube journeys and again at the hotel. Things were looking grim.., even grimmer when he threw up in the middle of our bed!! At 5pm the decision was taken that only I would go to the gig (what a great weekend..) but at 5.30 something miraculous happened (touched by the hand of Jaz?), his migraine disappeared and he tucked into some crisps and choccy biscuits. At 6pm he announced he was ready and donned his gig wear. His evening was made as we joined the queue and two blokes shouted it's Little Geordie! (he was wearing a Russian army cap and KJ themed hammer n sickle), then when we entered the foyer we saw them again and they insisted on bowing to him and shaking "Little Geordie's hand". Seats were front row of the balcony and initially the mgmt tried to move us, as the seats "were reserved"..I know FOR ME!!. So we sat next to some obviously "special" people and (my wife thinks) "Mrs" Reza. Anyway, you know the set was great and it was wonderful to sit there with my lad singing all the words and loving both the new and old songs. He told me today that it was the best gig he'd been to so far..and I have taken him to some good ones!

I spent the first few tracks and the occasional rest period later on just watching Geordie. Incredible as ever. That aside, it was into the pit for some honest sweaty fun!

But in fact, it was a deep, heartfelt, and very individual tribute to the rest of the Joke. It was odd that Raven didn't get a mention though.

From memory, other albums visited were: WTF (Madness, Fall of Because); Nighttime (80s, LLB); Pandemonium (Pandemonium); KJ 2003 (Asteroid|); Absolute Dissent (AD, This World Hell, In Excelsis, European Super State... and others but I forget now). Also Change and Pssyche.
