I presume u meant me by that or is there another Andrew, unlikely!!  I can understand what u mean, as I said there is too much "similarity" in odd tracks, so appreciate the heavier bits & growly vocals.  Having seen KJ live in 1994 pre-Pandemonium, as yet again LP delayed, & being wildly dissapointed by that new material (although not surprising after 1991/2) I was prepared for anything at Fleece especially after hearing some dodgy early versions on Geordies MySpace site & rough mixes courtesy of one of their close associates.  However was pleasantly very satisfied with Fleece gig, thought all the new tracks came out really well , especially dare I mention it again TWH.  Even ESS was not the wimpy electro number I was expecting, great gtr sound.  The only one was doubtful about was Raven King as sounded like  that lighters in the air number someone mentioned, but sounds  lot better on the LP  So fully expect by HSmith that will be even more
bone-rattlingly awesome & hope to hear things they did not play at Fleece like LGrove & Absolute Dissent.  Maybe even Termite Mound or Dregs but perhaps that is too much to ask!!

I thought I heard someone ask for link to the lyrics.  Well surely they are in the CD booklet, buy the God Damn thing!!!!

I too found geordie to be way down in the mix...

but it sure is excellent to listen to the guys playing the fall of because
with the original line up.

Musically, I'll agree it's pretty naff, however they have introduced a whole
new generation interested into listening to the original versions. I have
had several twenty something lounge listeners who did'nt believe I had most
original versions, and on top of it on vinyl (too drunk to fuck, pssyche
-7inch single w/wardance, this is not a love song , marian, etc)

So not a bad thing and, they also have Mareva Galanter on vocals.

They did a nice cover of "Marian" by the Sisters of Mercy on that first
album, but beyond, they're largely just an ez-listening gimmick.

Nouvelle Vague.... remember interviewing them a while ago... while wearing a
KJ shirt actually...

the show was a merely forgettable mish mash of lousy covers... don't really
work for me.

Why are people slagging off This World Hell?  Definitely one of my favourite
tracks on the LP. And at The Fleece came out really well, better than Great
Cull & Depthcharge I thought.   Maybe u don't like Extremities either then
which to my mind is still their best work along with early stuff, ie1979-81.
Having heard the Tribute LP now as well, am very pleased with package as
whole.  However nearly all the bands seemed to be playing the songs straight
rather than giving new take on them.  Finnish language version interesting
though, maybe we need more foreign language versions.  What happened to the
grunting on Primitive though?  Shame.  I must say that the Nouvelle Vague
verson of Psyche was somewhat different & interesting, if had been in pub
may not have recognised it as such unless concentrated on words.  However
without having checked out the band, could it be another Cinema Bizzarro
type genocidal crime?

Looking forward to having a listen, thanks. Yeah, Geordie was way too low
in the mix at the gig. It seemed to me more drums and vocals too high, than
the bass, but we'll see. Some of the new songs seemed a little shaky too,
but again, we'll see!

Really looking forward to Edinburgh, and still loving the new album (apart
from This World Hell!)

So many sound engineers do that. It's incredible the amount of times it's
happened to us but also at gigs I've paid to see.

I presume they're using their own man?

I would hope they're using their own soundman, but you never know! Was
speaking to someone the next night who said they spent the whole gig trying
to get the guy to turn Geordie up! Don't think they succeeded
though!   Gonna have a listen now and see!

Definitely too quiet on the guitar front. In fact, now I recall, the whole
gig was too quiet! People shouldn't be able to talk!

A mate has let me down so I have a spare ticket for London on the 16th if
anyone is interested? I'd just like to get my money back if possible (I'll
cover the booking fee).

Please contact me off list.

I may also have a london ticket available. Got dragged in for emergency
surgery and probably won't be in any fit shape for the gig, something I am
most definitetly not happy about.

The sound isn't bad.... It's just that you can hear people talking here and

There's actually two recordings (this is one  of them) from two different
tapers of this show and both are lossless  audio.  The big
complaint seems to be Geordie needs to be more  prominent in the mix, he's
getting drowned out by Big Paul and  Youth.

Ill design it. 100% of the time it'd return the answer:

"She's a lying slut"

It'd be accurate most of the time, and ther rest of the time it'd be a
great conversation starter.
