[kj] London here comes the regularity!!

I am going to say something that may offend some folks on here. Bit controversial.
Basically This World Hell is one of the songs I find a bit like a bad attempt to pretend to be KJ by a younger band, to put it politely. The ones that work for me and have real universal maturity are:
Endgame, In Excelsis, European Superstate and The Raven King.
The others are kinda, well, erm. Sorry. I mean I can see what they are trying to get at, but it does not work for me. Ghosts of Ladbroke Grove is cool, it is another world. Here comes the singularity and Honour the fire takes me right back to the late seventies. Seriously like a time travel experience. Depthcharge, This World Hell and The great cull are like Fresh fever from the skies, naah. Don't work for me. Bit immature I dare to add. (What the **** anyone means by that, eh?)
I hope Andrew has the last laugh when all the songs I don't like sound brilliant in Hammersmith. You never know? You do have the benefit of having heard them live?

I don't really hear much in common particularly between "this World Hell" and EXTREMITIES, really.

Sent from my iPhone. Please forgive any typos. I'm still finding my way with the texting apparatus. - Alex

Haven't listened to the tribute CD yet... but then the AD CD hasn't come out of the CD player yet.

Why are people slagging off This World Hell? Definitely one of my favourite tracks on the LP. And at The Fleece came out really well, better than Great Cull & Depthcharge I thought. Maybe u don't like Extremities either then which to my mind is still their best work along with early stuff, ie1979-81. Having heard the Tribute LP now as well, am very pleased with package as whole. However nearly all the bands seemed to be playing the songs straight rather than giving new take on them. Finnish language version interesting though, maybe we need more foreign language versions. What happened to the grunting on Primitive though? Shame. I must say that the Nouvelle Vague verson of Psyche was somewhat different & interesting, if had been in pub may not have recognised it as such unless concentrated on words. However without having checked out the band, could it be another Cinema Bizzarro type genocidal crime?

Looking forward to having a listen, thanks. Yeah, Geordie was way too low

in the mix at the gig. It seemed to me more drums and vocals too high, than

the bass, but we'll see. Some of the new songs seemed a little shaky too,

but again, we'll see!

Really looking forward to Edinburgh, and still loving the new album (apart

from This World Hell!)

So many sound engineers do that. It's incredible the amount of times it's happened to us but also at gigs I've paid to see.

I presume they're using their own man?

I would hope they're using their own soundman, but you never know! Was

speaking to someone the next night who said they spent the whole gig trying

to get the guy to turn Geordie up! Don't think they succeeded

though! Gonna have a listen now and see!

Definitely too quiet on the guitar front. In fact, now I recall, the whole

gig was too quiet! People shouldn't be able to talk!

A mate has let me down so I have a spare ticket for London on the 16th if

anyone is interested? I'd just like to get my money back if possible (I'll

cover the booking fee).

Please contact me off list.

I may also have a london ticket available. Got dragged in for emergency surgery and probably won't be in any fit shape for the gig, something I am most definitetly not happy about.

The sound isn't bad.... It's just that you can hear people talking here and

Ill design it. 100% of the time it'd return the answer:

"She's a lying slut"

It'd be accurate most of the time, and ther rest of the time it'd be a
