Yeah, I did the experiment for a social theory class with college students in the late 1990s. It's Jane Elliot's experiment from the 60s. Funny thing, I got reported to the Department Head for harassing people. Didn't have any repercussions because it was a well known study, but it blew my mind. "I am oppressed because I have blue eyes, and this is fostering an environment of negativity!" I was interferring with the learning process, don't ya know.....in a class about race. Whatever....

Really? There's a famous documentary about this same thing (I'm pretty sure it was done in the US maybe in the 60s or 70s). I guess your teacher was
recreating that anti-racist experiment--good for her!

just got around to watching it, thanks...
reminded me of an exercise we done at primary school where we were put into groups according to eye colour, and treated one group more favourably than the others... it was a good lesson on the hurt that discrimination brings.
