This is somewhat tenuously connected to our discussion. Okay, so over the weekend, I spotted a picture of one of a current teen pop sensation (no, not Lady Gaga) wearing a t-shirt with the VOID insignia on it (Void, for those of you who don't know, were a crucial D.C. hardcore band in the early 90s). I was deeply incredulous that a whistleheaded pop irritant like _____ dared sully Void's good name with her vileness. Upon sharing this revelation with a colleague this morning, he answered: "Dude, check out her MySpace page ... she likes good music." I find it imposible to believe that a child capable of making such awful pop would be fan of decent music, but check out her list of "influences" and see if you can guess who I'm talking about:
