The point I am trying to make is, some ( not all) of these pictures are of
real gibsons and they are hoping those are the ones that will get you to
overlook the details on the fakes they will actually send.

That would be fine if it's repackaged Epiphones but they aren't, those are
Gibson headstocks with made in the USA stamps and those are lacquer
finishes. and in looking at most of the les pauls on that site - they are
one piece mahogany necks and bodies. The raw wood alone costs more than the
finished guitars to the maker.

Well, of course it's a scam if you think you're getting a Made in the USA
Gibson...but if you think you're getting a rebadged Epiphone for $400 then
it could be a bargain. Of course there would be import taxes and I wouldn't
like to return one because of a warped neck.
