And I don't know if they know, but capitalist shit radio in the US (I guess UK still has BBC, which plays some real music--bands like the Pistols and Bad Manners were, after all, on the radio, but were completely ostracized here and could only be heard on college radio) doesn't give a crap about wrinkly old 80s one (or two, if you include Eighties) minor hit wonders like the Joke. And without radio airplay, or at least very aggressive internet exposure, bands don't stand a chance of getting much of a following. Hell, last years New York Dolls show (after their nice 2009 album), at the same club where the Joke were supposed to play in May, was not even full, and this is a 600 capacity club.

I understand why they aren’t as big as their music dictates they should be now. Keep alienating a small but fiercly loyal fanbase, and you end up with a progressively smaller, less loyal fanbase. Regardless of getting Grohl on drums. Decades of this stuff just shows a real persistent problem with ego, personality, sanity, planning, goals, ethics. I dunno. I really dig the guys but I can understand why they wanna punch each other up every time they get into the studio.

Snap quiz: If they kept pissing people off, and whittled their fans down to one hardcore individual...who do you reckon would be the last gatherer standing? I’m going with Pete West, becuse that would be the Killingest Joke.

It's sort of hard to hold off when you're so excited to see one of your all time favorite bands.

As much as history has shown in the past, the fear of not getting the flight/train ticket and the fear of rising costs at
any given moment is usually more than enough for one to go ahead and buy it.

Trump/shmump. I understand that they want it to be success (as we all do) but they should never have scheduled a tour
date if they did not have an somewhat tentative timetable of when the album would be completed.

My heart goes out for every gatherer that shelled out hard earned money only to be told "oopsie".

It's just wrong.

Honor thy fans. (Who've gone out and bought just about every damn thing you put out.)

Well, it's official. I found it interesting that there's no mention of refunds, only that tickets would be honored for whatever the
new dates will be.

I really think that no matter how much Youth trumps up the new album, postponing what looked to be KJ's biggest tour in the past 15
years over the fact they're still fudging with the album is inexcusable at this stage, especially considering show and whole tour
postponements and cancellations have been a major issue with this band for decades. I would be floored if the "listening party"
goes forward at this point.

Knowing this band's history, I would have never booked travel arrangements for outside my area to see a show until the absolute last
minute and in fact, I hesitated even buying a ticket for the local show in LA when it first went on sale. I feel for those people
who trusted this band to deliver on their obligation and have been let down (again, in many cases) and are out whatever sums of
cash, especially in this poor economy.
