I don't know if it's old age or familiarity, but I absorbed the news very well.  And not in a apathetic way.  More the way you expect that your cousins will always be late for Christmas dinner and you proceed with your day with that in mind.  It may also be that I've never had a double orgasm and the anticipation is half the fun.
