[kj] New Topic Tribute Bands

 A jock is not usually used for a professional athelete, but more often for high school/college age types who play sports, or who think of themselves as very athletic. Sometimes the term is used in a slightly derogatory way.

There is also Sir Jock, commander of Brit. forces, who also developed the NATO/Afghan army pincer maneuver known as "Jock's Trap."

"jock" is an athlete.
