I think my mind tended to fill in from memory, but I don't think it reached me
as low as 100.

Let's all do ourselves a favor and all divulge the sweet spots/preferred
seating(for whatever reason!) of all the venues we've all been through, so we
all know, come time to buy tickets for a show.

Hajime!

Considering how the front of house sound is set up in that place, i.e. almost up
the bloody rafters, I'm not surprised the balcony had reasonable sound lol!
It also seems you were lucky enough for it to act like a bass port too, Sade ;)
Did it actually get below 100Hz for you? I think everything below 80Hz was
dropping off about 3 foot away from stage down in the auditorium. Similar issues
at the El Rey, too.
So, best sound of the night was either close enough to the backline, or up in a
sound trap...ne'er mind, I had a good time :)
Sad to think this might have been the last time for seeing the Joke. Stateside,
at least.

About the drums not sounding so well, well, I was up in the balcony and it
sounded mighty fine from up there. (to the sound techs on here: does sound
travel differently

up&away from the ground-level troops in the pit?)
