I suppose it's gotta be something pretty serious for him to cut short 4 or so dates.........let's hope it isn't as bad as it sounds.

exitDue to a personal family situation, i have had to exit the North American Killing Joke tour early and will miss the last 3 shows and return to London. It is with great regret that i have had to do this but unavoidable. I would like to salute my brothers and comrades in the band and offer sincere apologies to them and the fans for not being there for the last few dates. Thanks to the band and fans for a great illuminating tour so far and to Alan our guitar tech who has bravely stepped in on bass duties while i am away.

Well, I guess we know why now. It is extremely disappointing, but I hope he and his family are OK. Does anyone know who will handle bass duties?
