The 4.5 rating means the album is close to the full potential of the artist.
(That is, 3-star Miles is admittedly superior to 4-star Kylie.) Retro is the
new futurism, and the reference to Laibach is talking smack. Well they do
make somewhat of an effort over at AMG, don't they. Heavy and ugly only
count 2 of the essential ingredients. "This World Hell" misses the
beautiful, searing light that (for me) always characterizes the best tracks.

"But on track five, "European Super State," the album takes a surprising
turn toward retro, synth-driven disco-pop, sounding like an outtake from
Laibach <http://www.allmusic.com/artist/laibach-p13451>'s
NATO<http://www.allmusic.com/album/nato-r206555>.
They recover quickly, though, with "This World Hell," one of the heaviest
and ugliest tracks on the entire album."
