So, I'm doing my usual freelance writing for THE NEW YORKER this week  
and one of the upcoming shows I'm assigned to write about is Linkin  
Park's gig at the noxious Nokia theatre on Times Square. In doing my  
research, I learn that the band has a new album slated for release.  
Not exactly shocking. The title? A THOUSAND SUNS. Sound a bit familiar.

Oh, and the title of the first track on the album? "The Requiem."


I'm not making this up.
