Believe me, I realise how lucky I was.  It's one of my top KJ moments.

And it was a total fluke.  I was skint, so hitched up to Manchester.  Obviously I didn't want to risk missing anything, so I left realy early.  As it happened, I got lifts really quickly, so arrived at the venue hours and hours before the gig... the doors were open... so I went in...

Twenty-one years ago.  Blimey.

You are lucky to have experienced that jamie, I would by the whole catalog of killing joke songs played exclusively by Geordie at triple the price of their whole ensemble albums.

Yes, definitely one of my best gigs ever, in large measure 'cos I arrived so early that I walked in and watched the soundcheck.  This was just moderately interesting until everyone finished except for Geordie.  Then he played Night Time all the way through, just him, and it blew my mind.  There were sounds which I'd assumed were keyboards which turned out to be guitar.  (OK, I'm not a muso.)  It was like consuming essence-of-Joke.
