Yeah, the amount of lyrics on that album is equivalent to reading a book of essays. Although I think the sound was a bit muddled/messy compared to their first 2 albums (Yo! Bum Rush the Show was a musical masterpiece,
despite the typical stupid non-political rap lyrics).

But "Fear of A Black Planet" will be PE's album to stand the test of time. Ommmm.....watch in 10 years. I just remember hearing that album and immediately having to play it again, and again, and again. Can't say I have done that with many other albums......

I can go with 2 of those:
Nobody's Heroes and It Takes a Nation of Millions :)

Cool--I appreciate learning from people w/different tastes, knowledge, etc. (as long as they don't listen to crap--Brittney Spears, Lady Gaga, Kansas, Simply Red--you get the point).
Some of my favorite albums--Sandinista by the Clash, If I Should Fall From Grace With God by Pogues, Nobody's Heroes by SLF, Fervor by Jason and the Scorchers, Choices by George Jones,
It Takes a Nation of Millions by Public Enemy, Kalfou Danjere by Boukman Experyans (from Haiti), Dread at the Controls by Mikey Dread--you get the point.

One of my all time favourite albums. I guess this is why we don't see eye to eye on music, Greg ;)
I also have a distinct bias to all things Eno or Fripp. :)

Listening to this, I've come to appreciate the glorious excitement of watching paint dry.
