Oh sorry Karen, I thought you were UK?
Over here, everyone grew up with Blue Peter.  The three people I mentioned were iconic from our childhoods & generation about 30 years ago.  It's done a great deal of good raising money for charities etc, guide dogs.  Big on guide dogs.  You sent them silver foil, back in the 1970's, and if they got enough scrap, unwanted or unused silver foil, they could get a guide dog with it.  
Could somebody please explain this to me, as it has been a very long time and I still do not understand HOW THE F*** YOU BUY TRAINED LABRADORS WITH SILVER FOIL???

Tell you what, Paul: I won't ignore you, if you won't mock 
my utter ignorance on this particular show -- actually, you are more than 
entitled, I guess. 
For whatever it's worth, I did get to watch a taping of 
"You Were Watching" at the BBC Television Centre last Tuesday. Perhaps that 
improves my street cred? ; )
