[kj] Top 50 songs of 2000-2010

I would personally rather listen to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs than Fugazi. I have never really been a fan of them.

Nor am I a real fan of American Hardcore. Hardcore Techno, yes, but that was some time ago.

I like a lot of different styles and forms of music, with the exception of Country.

In your defense, since I get a lotof shit for "Top 40," etc., lists, too - I am always clear to point out that what I am writing is NOT a Top 100 or even a Top 70. Maybe if it was a Top 100 the tracks the critic pissing and moaning about not having been included would indeed be there.

STILL: Fugazi's 2001 _The Argument_ is the last LP the band havemade. Some thought that last LP was a brilliant new direction for the band, or a masterpiee of some sort. And it ended up being their last LP. yet I see it rarely in critics' "Top XXX" LPs of the past decade. I mean, wtf? Fugazi were supposedly critics' darlings. And yet the last LP they ever make in the past decade gets beaten out by Lady GaGa and LCD Soundsystem or yeah yeah yeahs or something. i dunno. It just doesn't sit right with me. ;)

Well, I never said it was comprehensive, but I didn't hear any new tracks from either Fugazi or the Fall in the last ten years that proved memorable. I should, however, have indeed included "The Art of Stopping" by Wire.
