[kj] KJ Dream

The Island is Great Barrier Island in New Zealand, Jaz in his inimitable way
said that he owns a 'part share' of it.meaning he owns a plot of land on it.
Along with hundreds of other people.

Apparently the book series he is writing is going to go into permaculture
and how to live without (much) money. Sounds interesting, although there's a
fair chance that it involves slave labour on Killing Joke island ;)

The boats destination equates to the Killing Joke Island that Jaz
envisaged and often spoke about and the fact that you didn't even mange to
get the boat into the water to make the voyage, shows how far the Island
came into being reality.
Neil: You still have hopes that one day Jaz will realise the Kiling Joke
Island in some far off place , you stil have a hope that one day Jaz will
give you a call and you wil sail off to a new life on the Killing joke
Island.....................just like he said .

A few months ago I had a dream that KJ were playing in an old pub on the
Cornwall coast
(south west England for non-UK gatherers). It was an old 'smugglers inn'
style place and
the only access was down a fairly steep hillside path. Jaz and the band were
sat in the
pub and myself and lots of other KJ fans all made our way into the pub. But
before the gig
could start, Jaz insisted that we help him carry a large rowing boat out of
the pub and further down
the hillside path and put it in the sea. So a bunch of us, with Jaz, hoisted
this bloody boat onto
our shoulders and spent A REALLY LONG TIME trying to get it down the cliff
path. This went on
and on in annoying slow-motion dreamtime, and the path went on for ever...
until I woke up
with a sense of panic that I was going to miss the gig. Followed by
irritation that the time
would have been better spent actually performing a gig instead of carrying a
rowing boat.
I'm convinced it would have been the best imaginary KJ gig ever.

A metaphor for the amount of time between KJ albums? I think so.

All this talk about the band sitting in lounge chairs on their next tour
musta broke my brain or something.

Last night, I had a bizarre dream that KJ was playing in a bowling alley and
Geordie was playing a guitar during "Fresh Fever in the Sky" with a clear
bowling ball body with a rose inside straight out of Bill Murray's character
in the comedy movie "Kingpin."

And yes, the band all wore matching light blue boiler suits with bowling
team-like "KJ" logos on the pockets.
